Good to know
Is it a subscription?
No. US$30 once. Every version released in the 2 years after you buy is included, and those versions keep working forever. No account is needed.
What happens on a 4th device?
It is refused: one licence works on 3 devices at the same time. Release a device you no longer use, from any of your devices or from riverthought.com/licences, and activate the new one. You can release up to 2 devices in any 12 months; if a device was lost or broken beyond that, write to support@riverthought.com.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Activation needs a connection once per device; after that RiverPDF works offline. It checks in at most once a day when online, to see whether the device was released.
Are my files uploaded?
Never. Every tool runs on your own device. RiverPDF only contacts riverthought.com to activate and check its licence (a random device id, the platform and the device name you see on the Licence page), and downloads.riverthought.com for updates.
Can I try it first?
Yes. Without a key RiverPDF runs as a trial: one file at a time and a page 1 preview of every conversion. The website version at riverdiy.com/riverpdf is free to use as well, with pay-per-file conversions.
What if it is not right for me?
Write to support@riverthought.com within 30 days with your order number and we refund you.
